SLIDING TOWBAR / QUICK COUPLER Sturtevant, WI -June 24, 2008 - Topper Industrial continues to lead the way in designing material handling products that focus on function. The Topper quick coupler and sliding tow bar makes attaching and detaching carts an effortless process. There is no bending over or lifting to hook the carts up. Just grap the soft red grip at waist level on the sliding tow bar and guide the pintle ring right into the rear coupler. The pintle ring is spring-loaded to hold it in the exact location for the receiver. Connection is made automatically with the spring-loaded lug in the coupler, which is easily released for uncoupling by a simple foot depression. When coupling carts or adding Topper carts to a train of carts the operator simply pushes the cart up against another and then pulls it away. Upon pulling the cart away from the other the carts it will be connect by a heavyduty tow bar for smooth towing and cornering. The greatest feature of this tow package is the automatic release of the floor lock as the tow bar is extended so that the floor lock is never down when being towed where it can be "ripped off". This feature allows loading these carts in a semi-trailer with the floor lock set and the tow bar retracted for space and safety.
