A tow package is a set of high strength steel components that are bolted to the material handling cart. These are designed so that the cart can be towed safely individually or in a train of carts. Topper Industrial’s tow package typically includes a tow bar, hitch (coupler), and brake.

The towbar system must be designed to carry the load created by a train of carts and have adequate safety margin. The standard towbar system is designed to pull 10,000 pounds of tensile drawbar force. Higher capacity tow bars are available on request.
